da mrbet: Everton fans are desperate for a top quality striker to complete their new-look attack, and a move for former Liverpool target Alex Teixeira could give them an unstoppable Brazilian trifecta.
What’s the story?
Everton fans are absolutely delighted with the progress of summer signings Richarlison and Bernard, but the lack of a truly clinical centre forward is hurting the Toffees.
Cenk Tosun and Dominic Calvert-Lewin have scored just one goal each this season, and it seems almost unfair to continually play Richarlison out of his natural position.
Teixeira was heavily linked with Liverpool back in 2016, but eventually opted for a move to China instead.
Paulinho’s success at Barcelona proved players can return from the Chinese Super League to do great things in Europe’s elite leagues, and Teixeira’s speed, technical quality and versatility could make Everton’s current Brazilian duo even more lethal.

Bernard 2.0?
Teixeira played all over the attack for Shakhtar Donetsk, but has converted to a central striker during his time with Jiangsu Suning. The 28 year-old is known for his speed with the ball, dribbling ability and work rate, all things that would fit perfectly in Marco Silva’s high-tempo system.
What really sets Teixeira apart though is his end product, grabbing 89 goals and 25 assists in 223 games with Shakhtar before finding 42 goals and 26 assists in 96 games in China.
His versatility means he, Richarlison and Bernard could play a similar way to Liverpool’s ferocious front three, interchanging and popping up all over the pitch rather than staying in set positions.
Teixeira is basically Bernard with better end product, and he wouldn’t be the first player to return from China an even better player than when he arrived. He has ten goals and three assists so far this season, and would be an immediate upgrade on the misfiring Cenk Tosun.
