Tottenham Hotspur youngster Luke Amos has joined QPR on loan, the club have confirmed.
What’s the word?
Amos has made just one senior appearance for Spurs, playing two minutes in a 2-1 win over Newcastle United in the first game of the 2018/19 season.
A 22-year-old midfielder, he has been a stalwart for the club’s Under-23 side, making 52 appearances, and has been out on loan twice before, to Southend United in 2017 and Stevenage the year following.
He has yet to play at Championship level, however, and will be looking to bounce back from a season-ending injury that he sustained in September when he makes the move to Loftus Road.

Now or never
Amos is running out of chances to make it at Spurs.
He’s 22 – the same age as the club’s primary summer target, Tanguy Ndombele – yet has just two minutes of senior football under his belt in north London.
One has to feel, then, that this is the final throw of the dice for a player who has yet to truly convince manager Mauricio Pochettino.
If he can thrive while in west London, he could well return and challenge for a spot in the first-team next season.
But if he fizzles out, as he has done a few times in his career already, he could well be moved on again, this time on a permanent basis.
Amos, then, has to grab this opportunity with both hands.
