da imperador bet: Everton and Tottenham Hotspur have both held talks with the father of Besiktas forward Cenk Tosun ahead of a potential move, according to Haberturk.
What’s the word?
da mrbet: Tosun was linked with a switch to the Premier League in the summer, but a transfer never materialised.
Now, Turkish-Football’s report, which cites Haberturk, claims that Everton and Spurs are two of 13 clubs interested in the hitman.
So far this season, Tosun has found the back of the net eight times in 12 appearances for Besiktas in the Super Lig.
The 26-year-old has also performed well in the Champions League having scored four goals and created two assists in the group stage.
Haberturk claims that Everton and Tottenham have discussed potential deals with the Tosun’s father, who works as one of his agents.
Who would benefit more?
Tottenham’s main man up front is Harry Kane, so if Tosun was to join the North London outfit, he would be a back-up rather than first choice.
Spurs, though, already have decent options, including Son Heung-min, which may lead Tosun to question where he would fit in.
One of the main issues that Everton have had is a lack of firepower in the final third.
The Merseyside outfit spent more than £100m on new players in the summer, but they failed to bring in a guaranteed goalscorer following Romelu Lukaku’s move to Manchester United.
Tosun has already proved that he is reliable in front of goal, but if the Turkish international is attracted interest from a handful of clubs, the price tag is likely to rise.
Everton have some financial clout behind them, but last summer’s lavish spending may not be repeated.
