da 888: Following the signing of goalkeeper Petr Cech last week there is a buzz around the Emirates Stadium. All the pieces of the puzzle have nearly fallen into place and the Gunners are almost ready to challenge for the Premier League title again.
da marjack bet: However, there is one key part of the puzzle missing that can push the Gunners the distance and help them bring back the good times by winning the Premier League.
What is the missing piece you ask?
Step forward Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette.
The Daily Telegraph have reported that Lyon have offered the French striker to Arsenal, in a deal worth around £21m after contract talks stalled.
The Gunners have been in need of another top striker since the days of Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp and Robin Van Persie. Olivier Giroud has been the main man at Arsenal since RVP departed for Manchester United back in 2012.
Arsenal should not be looking for a replacement for Giroud, instead a team-mate who can work alongside him and share the responsibility of leading the attack at the Emirates Stadium.
Giroud is arguably one of the most underrated players in European Football. He spent three months out injured with a fractured foot during the 2014/15 campaign yet still managed to score 14 league goals.
His ability to hold up the ball and awareness in and around the box are second to none. And that near post run and flick has become his trademark.
You cannot deny Arsenal would have been a lot closer to Chelsea if Giroud had of been fit all season, so imagine how having a player like Lacazette to fill the void would benefit the Gunners.
Lacazette was a revelation for Lyon last season – he scored an incredible 27 league goals in only 33 appearances. When you consider the player is only 24 and still learning his trade, you realise just how much of a talent the player is.
A big move away from Ligue 1 this summer would best suit the striker as he looks to impress ahead of Euro 2016 next summer.
He has been repeatedly drawing comparisons to Arsenal legend Thierry Henry in recent months. The Frenchman is regarded as a strong, pacey footballer with great technical ability and a keen eye for goal.
The 24 year old’s versatility is a massive plus, with Lacazette comfortable as an out an out striker, playing out wide or just off the forward. Wenger’s tactics at Arsenal would suit the player perfectly.
Arsene Wenger has had an incredible record of transforming French footballers into world beaters in previous years.
Names like Thierry Henry, Nicolas Anelka, Sylvain Wiltord and Robert Pires did incredible things in their time under the Arsenal boss, and Lacazette defiantly has the potential to be the next world class Frenchman at the North London club.
Of course there are other alternatives to Lacazette, but when you consider transfer targets like Jackson Martinez and Mario Mandzukic have both recently moved clubs, time may be running out for Wenger to secure the perfect player.
Should Lacazette make the move across the English channel it would certainly be no surprise to see him dangling a Premier League winners medal round his neck next May.
